I remember Rick Torrence as being a fun loving guy. He got killed coming back from Myrtle Beach (I think in the early 80's) on his motorcycle. He has been in a wreck before on a motorcycle and about died then. So sad that he died so young.
One of the saddest days was when I heard of Rick's death. He was my sweetheart for a time and I have many fond memories of him. A great loss - he lost his life in a motorcycle accident - Tom Boulware and he were riding together. I visited Tom in the hospital in Charlotte and remember all that he went through - fortunately enough he had a second chance - you are truly missed a rose for you Carolyn Hancock Finley
Rick and I used to work together after school and summers at Home Supply. We used to do TV repair service calls together. He was a bright and fun loving guy. Rick and I also double dated together a few times. He knew Charlotte pretty well and we used to take our dates up to the big city. I was quite sad when I learned of his death a year or so after graduation. I feel privileged to have known him and had those good times together.
