Katie was so witty and had the best sense of humor! I worked with her for many years. She was devoted to caring for her brother-in-law, Tommy Miller, when he was injured in a football accident at Northwestern High School. Later she cared for her husband, Ricky, as he battled brain cancer. Katie passed away while waiting for a kidney transplant.

Katie and I grew up on the same street and I spent a lot of time at her house.    At her memorial service I talked to her Mom and told her that my mom used to ask me why I didn't move in with them as I spent so much time there.   Hope she was joking! Anyway Mrs Williams said in her sweet voice "you know we'd have taken you!"   Loved Katie and her family so!
