Ginger was a neighbor, in Oakridge, waaay back in the day.
We were classmates at Finley Road.
Our friendship, as young'ns was a treasure.
May she rest in peace.
Tender mercies to family and friends.

Ginger was an amazing woman with a fabulous voice. I remember her singing "Smoke Gets in my Eyes" when we convinced Ms. Hardin to allow us to have a talent show in Latin Class. Most of us didn't have much talent, but we had more talent than we did skill in Latin.

Ginger had a pervasive brightness about her; it could have been her great hair or her ready smile.  Perhaps more it was her kind and engaging spirit shining through. In a stage of life where kids were bent on sniping at and criticizing each other, I can not recall her ever saying an unkind thing about anyone.  My condolences to her family and friends.

Ginger fought her cancer for many years we had several long phone conversations about when we were neighbors on Greenbrier Ave . She was one of my very best friends and she was in my wedding 47 years ago.We stayed in touch until her first marriage and I lost contact one day I was in McD’s with my kids and I heard her voice .. she was with a group of choir member traveling thru the area .. I walked around the corner and we both hugged and cried for 10 min. We exchanged information and promised to stay in touch .. she called me one day to tell me she had remarried and he was a Yankee! We spoke in and off thru the years and I was devastated when Tim called and told me she had passed away. I am happy to say she reconnected with some of her biological family and was living a very happy life .I will miss her.
