In Memory

Jule/Jp Rogers

February 21, 1951 - February 1, 2022
Rock Hill, South Carolina - Julian Paschall Rogers III, better known as Jule, passed away just 20 days shy of his 71st birthday Atrium Health Pineville, NC.
A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, February 5, 2022 at 2:30pm at 4183 Mockingbird Lane. Graveside service at Bethesda Presbyterian Church will be private.
Jule was born and raised in Rock Hill, SC. He was the son of the late Betty and Julian "Pete" Rogers, Jr.) and is survived by two brothers, Hall and John Rogers; a sister, Donna Rogers. Jule was married to his high school sweetheart, Sue for 48 years. He got his degree at Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College and was accepted to the University of Georgia but returned to Rock Hill to start a family with Sue. They planted their roots just minutes away from both their parents' homeplace and began a life in Rock Hill. They had two children, Reggie and JP. Jule began his career as a farmer then moved on to clearing lots with his first bulldozer. That first bulldozer inspired him to grow his business to the next level. Rogers Grading and Farm evolved into Rogers Grading Incorporated officially in 1989. During their journey in life together, they found joy in the mountains of Chimney Rock, NC. Jule accumulated an extensive collection of vintage tractors and cars. He was a member of the Dixieland Cruisers and received many rewards including best in show. He was a member of Antioch United Methodist Church. Jule loved the Lord, loved his family and friends, loved helping others and he especially loved being in charge. He is survived by two children, Reggie Grigg (David) and JP Rogers and two grandchildren: Mason and Darby Grigg.
Jule was a smart business man who was quick with his tongue but found ways to be helpful to others without the need for attention or thanks. He was his grandchildren's number one fan in their athletic endeavors and rarely missed a game. On the day he passed, his granddaughter, Darby played basketball "for Papa" scoring 20 points of 50 in the game that night. As Jule would say, "you need to get it done."
Memorials can be made to Antioch United Methodist Church, 930 West Rambo Road, Rock Hill, SC 29730. Or to Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College, 2802 Moore Highway, Tifton, GA 31793.
Greene Funeral Home Northwest Chapel is serving the Rogers family and condolences may be made at www.greenefuneralhome.net.

I have good memories of both Jule & Sue.  Sue just passed away in Oct 2021 and now he is gone as well.  I am sad that they are both gone from this earth but I know Sue was thrilled to have him back with her again.  They have probably been together in many lifetimes.

I am sorry to hear about Jule. We did business with them several years ago. It was nice to have the opportunity  to reconnect with him. He will be missed in the community.
