I didn't know Sonny well, but I remember at one of our reunions at the Elks Club they called for a dance for people who were high school sweethearts & he pulled me out on the floor.  I said, "Sonny, you and I never dated" and he said, "They don't know that...."  and we laughed and had a great dance.

Rest in peace.

It's been a while since I've been to the website and I saw that we had lost more classmates.  What a great memory that Betty Lynn had about Sonny.  I knew Sonny well enough to remember his name and his face.  He had to have had a great sense of humor.  Sonny, we will think of your family during this empty time.  I wish I had had a chance to know that sense of humor....

Unreal.  Had seen Sonny in a while and just found out about this today. Sonny was an island and had great sense of humor. I know he will be missed.  Dave

Sonny was a trip in high school!  I remember he had that white car he used to take to the track somewhere around Charlotte and drag race.  He said his parents used to get so angry at him for that.  One time it had broken down in a parking lot and we saw him just sitting in the car.  He said he was going to spend the night in it so nothing would happen to it before morning when he could get a tow.  Really crazy about that car!
