I enjoy singing barbershop, however I am not doing so right now due to my travel schedule. I enjoy all kinds of needlework.
I have recently taken up photography, which I really enjoy. I love whales and eagles which I have photographed in the wild. Water is intriguing to me, which feeds my desire to shoot waterfalls and seascapes.
I enjoy taking my bass boat aka; "Miss Kitty," out to the lake and fishing every chance I get. I love to fish, freshwater and off shore.
Marlin fishing in the Sea of Cortez is a favorite, largest stripe is 110" , apprx. 180 lbs. which I trophied. I am hoping to get the big "blue", at least 450 to 500 lbs. I am still chasing that one!
Bass fishing runs a close second. I actually don't care what I catch as long as it puts up a good fight and I WIN!
I love to travel and spend about 3 to 4 months a year seeking warm temperatures in the wintertime and stay close to home in the spring and summer.
I love to cruise and try to take one or two cruises a year.
I love going to the theatre for performances and musicals.
Oh gosh...my family says I surprise them every day!
I have traveled in about 19 countries and still can't speak but a few words of any other language other than English! I try to learn enough words to order dinner!
I love to DANCE. Love to two-step, double two-step and country waltz.
I have many great memories, most of them great ones. I cherish those memories and most of all, friends. Now that 40 years have past...I have learned that when someone is not actively in our lives...we must live on those memories.
I vividly remember our class play. Who can forget the sock hops? What fun! Drinking hot chocolate and watching the RHHS Marching Band and football games!
What did you always want to do that you haven't done?
I have traveled to 46 of the 50 states and hope to visit them before I check out! Hang-gliding which I probably won't do...but that is okay. Have a daughter, which I defintely WON'T do, but that is okay, too! I did get a beautiful granddaughter!
I was married for 29 years (divorced nearly 11 years now), leading a very interesting life as a wife and mother and working various positions in the corporate world. Last one for Tyson Foods as a Senior Research Coordinator in the Accounting Department.
I enjoyed my work and positions in the NC Federation of Women's Clubs, holding local, district ans state offices, sometimes at the same time. This was a rewarding time of my life as I enjoyed making a difference in the lives of so many.
I was what my family called me, a professional volunteer, as I excepted responsibilities in my church, trio, boards of PTA and PTO's and other civic organizations in the different cities and towns we lived. I have cooked many pots of chili and made many hot dogs over the years to help those causes! No regrets...it was a rewarding time of my life.
I continue to be blessed by God as I enjoy my life as a mother and grandmother when at home or in my travels.
I sincerely thank Barbara and all those who helped make this site possible. Your efforts don't go un-noticed nor un-appreciated. You all did a fabulous job!! Many thanks!
