God has blessed Bill and I so much with two wonderful children, a beautiful grandaughter, a fantastic extended family and amazing friends. God moved my father to pastor Woodhaven Baptist Church in August of 1969. The beginning of His plan for the rest of my life was revealed in that crowded Sunday school room on my first Sunday morning when I was introduced to a class full of curious Rock Hill High teenagers. Little did I know at that time that the boy who had the "weird" last name would become my best friend and soul mate.
1973 Graduated from Winthrop College
1974 Master's from Winthrop College
1975-76 Moved to Florence and taught English
1977 Married Bill and moved back to Rock Hill
1977-1996 Taught American History, English, Government, A.P. American History at Northwestern High School and loved "almost" every minute of it!
1996-2010 Enjoying Life!
